What data we collect
When you use an access code (anonymous mode), we do not collect any personal data — only an anonymous session identifier and access logs (timestamps, IP address) for security purposes. When you sign in with email, Microsoft or Google, we collect your email address, your name (if provided by the OAuth provider) and a unique identifier issued by that provider.
Why we process your data
- To give you access to the course materials you are enrolled in.
- To prevent abuse and detect security incidents (12-month audit log).
- Once your account is linked — to recognise you on future visits without requiring the access code each time.
How long we keep your data
- Account data (email, identity links) is retained for the duration of your access and deleted within 30 days of course completion or upon your request, whichever comes first.
- Audit logs are retained for 12 months for security purposes and then automatically deleted. Log exports (CSV) are retained for 5 years in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access your data (request a copy by writing to contact@edu.eco)
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request erasure (right to be forgotten)
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO) — uodo.gov.pl
